A loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Jewel Delphine “Judy” Lawson Marshall of Yadkinville went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was 66.
She was born Aug. 30, 1943 in Pulaski County, Va., to the late Albert and Lillie Elva Quesenberry Lawson.
Mrs. Marshall worked for several years with Bates Nitewear and Indera Mills. She was a faithful member of Northwood Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harlie Ray Marshall on Dec. 16, 2006; by a step-mother, Ola Mae Lawson; and a brother, Michael Lawson.
She is survived by her devoted sons, Donald (Tammy) Marshall, Doug (Susanne) Marshall, all of Yadkinville; three loving grandchildren, Hannah Marshall, Addy Marshall, Ty Marshall; three sisters, Shirley (Jackie) Fowler, Abingdon, Va.; Janet ( the late Billy) Branch, Pulaski, Va.; Marie (Wayne) Brookman, Dublin, Va.; three brothers, Tom (Brenda) Lawson, Abingdon, Va., Lonnie Wayne (Connie) Taylor, Daniel (Ann) Lawson, all of Pulaski, Va.; and several nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
The family will received friends Thursday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral service was held Friday, July 9, 2010, in the Gentry Family Chapel by Dr. Allen Barker and Dr. Hubert Wishon. Burial followed in the Northwood Baptist Church Cemetery.
