Man hits holes-in-one on same hole

Richard Boyd hit a hole-in-one on April 1, and on Tuesday on hole seven at Silo Run Golf Course. The hole is a 149 yard par 3 from the senior tees.

SALT Worldwide Golf Tournament

Country Side Golf Course will host a golf tournament on July 22, benefiting the Fundamental Baptist Home Missions Board. Entry fees are $50 and include a free lunch. There will be two tee times, at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. For more information, call 957-2629.

Elkin Athletics Golf Tournament

Cederbrook Country Club will host the 10th annual golf tournament fundraiser, benefiting Elkin athletics. The captain's choice tournament will be held on July 22 at Cedarbrook Country Club. The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Registration is $65 and includes lunch provided by the country club. The registration deadline is July 20. Surry County Red Cross Chapter Golf Tournament

Pilot Knob Park Country Club will host a captain's choice tournament on Aug. 12. Entry fees are $100 per person and golfers must be registered by Aug. 5. Teams will consist of four golfers and a breakfast will be provided beginning at 7 a.m. Tee off is at 8 a.m. and drinks and snacks will be provided. For more information call Cathy at 374-0491.
