The Yadkinville Town Board of Commissioners, announced at Monday night’s board meeting that Joseph Sloop will be the new Town Manager.

Sloop started his career in 2007 with the Town of Yadkinville when he was an intern. He has held the position of Supervisor of Land Records for Yadkin County 2007-2009, and from 2009 to the present he has served as the Director of Development and Planning for the Town of Yadkinville.

He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in geography and a Masters of Arts degree in geography with a concentration in city and regional planning from Appalachian State University.

Sloop is currently working on his Doctoral Degree in geography with a concentration on urban and economic development from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with expected graduation in 2014.
