She was born May 23, 1913 in Yadkin County to the late John and Maratha Brendle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Garfield Hinshaw.
Surviving are her sons, John Hinshaw and Steve (Dianne) Hinshaw; grandchildren, Amy (Paul) Kurzejh and Sarah Hinshaw; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
