William Leo Brandon, 70, of Wesley Road in Boonville, died on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Born in Yadkin County on Jan. 30, 1939, he was the son of the late William Grady and Geneva Hutchens Brandon.
He was employed by the City of Yadkinville and was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church.
Mr. Brandon is survived by his wife, Cecile Johnson Reavis Brandon; a son, Darrell Brandon of Yadkinville; four brothers, Allen Junior Brandon, Thomas Lloyd Brandon, and Paul Grady Brandon of Yadkinville, and Kenneth Ray Brandon of Boonville; three sisters, Joella Brandon Billings of Yadkinville, Betty Jean Fushari of South Carolina, and Linda Diane Snow of Yadkinville; and four stepchildren, Rickie, Shelby, Mickie and Dinkie Reavis.
The service to celebrate the life of Mr. Brandon will be held today, May 21, at 3 p.m. at the Maranatha Baptist Church with the Rev. Benny Adams and the Rev. Roger Elmore officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
