The Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of members of the Yadkin Valley Drug Task Force and the East Bend Police Department, have made two arrests in the ongoing battle that Yadkin Valley law enforcement is waging against illegal drugs in this area.
On March 5, James Allen Clement, II, 23 and Randy Lee Barron, 2,3 both of a Pinnacle address, were arrested in East Bend at the Citgo. Over two pounds of marijuana was seized at an estimated street value of $4,800.
Clements was charged with two counts of felony sale and deliver schedule VI control substance, and two counts of felony sale and deliver within 1000 feet of a school.
Barron was charged with two counts of conspiracy to sell and deliver and simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance, and misdemeanor maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place.
Both Barron and Clements were placed under a $25,000 bond. They are scheduled to appear in Yadkin County District Court on March 17.
Officers assisting in this operation were Detective Mickey Boyles, Detective Farron Jester, Detective Clet Shore – Elkin Police Department, and Chief Willie Shouse and Officer Ronnie Bowers from the East Bend Police Department.
