Mr. Sanders Gaither Draughn, 75, of Yadkinville passed away Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Forsyth Medical Center.

He was born April 28, 1936, in Yadkin County to the late Gaither and Florence Simmons Draughn. Mr. Draughn retired as Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force with 22 years of service from 1954 to 1976, serving in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars.He also worked for several years with Yadkin County Emergency Medical Services.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Martin Draughn and a brother, David Draughn.

Surviving are his 2 daughters, Teresa Lynn Lorbacher and husband, Johnnie; Donna Y. Draughn; and a son, Douglas O. Draughn.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Lenuel Lusk. Burial will follow in the Yadkin Memorial Gardens with full military honors by Yadkin VFW Post 10346.
